Jeremy Allen White Is Not Afraid to Cry
This shoot is particularly special to me because it is the first shoot I have ever art directed! I pitched a concept inspired by old photographs of Anthony Bourdain where he is sitting on a graffiti filled white wall. I thought it would be fun to have Jeremy doodle a few things and add them in as details in his visual story. This shoot has been shared widely and has even won an award for the photographer, Kendall Bessent!

Baby, It's Bold Outside
This shoot took place in December 2023, as part of InStyle's Celebration Issue. The shots by Jeremy Chou are meant to showcase the boldest coats of the season. This shoot was very fun because we were shooting on location in and around the Financial District. We had to be very mobile with our crew and adapt to the variables of the city, such as shooting in a subway station during rush hour! As a production assistant on this shoot it was very important to keep everyone organized throughout the day to seamlessly achieve our goals.

It’s Not Chris Briney’s Fault You’re, Like, in Love With Him
This shoot with Chris Briney is part of InStyle's popular "This Guy" series. Our story with Chris was tied to his role in Mean Girls as Aaron Samuels. In the original movie there is an iconic scene where Regina George says that Aaron "looks sexy with his hair pushed back". In a funny pitch. I was asked to volunteer a (literal) hand on set and push Chris' hair back for a shot on set! The result is super fun and was widely shared on social.

Good Vibrations With Jon Batiste
It was so inspiring to be on set with Jon Batiste! I have been a huge fan of him for some time so being able to experience his energy during the photoshoot was a beautiful experience. We created a set that was a bed in the sky scene. Jon was singing on set all day long and the resulting images were joyful and perfectly capturing his positive energy!

This Fall, One Bag Just Isn’t Enough
This was another fashion editorial where we shot on location! We rented out an apartment in Prospect Park as a homebase for our production and then went out on the streets to capture these images. It was one of the hottest days of the summer when we shot this so it was super important to keep everyone hydrated and energetic throughout the day!

Bowen Yang Is, Unsurprisingly,
a Delight
This shoot with Bowen Yang was so fun to be a part of! We worked with a lot of movement here to capture the energy of our "Levity Issue". I helped hold up and add movement to our parachute background. Working with Bowen was such a fun experience.

Annabelle Dexter-Jones Is Finding
Her Niche
I had the opportunity to work on a shoot with Annabelle Dexter-Jones in July of 2023! This was such a fun shoot because the styling was so chic and aligned with a new vision of InStyle.

Naomi Watts Is Acting Her Age
This shoot with Naomi Watts was for a special InStyle issue centered around Menopause! Naomi brought such a great energy to the set, which was reflected perfectly in the images shot by Josefina Santos!

Beauty, Inside and Out
At InStyle, my team also does a lot of internal still life shoots. As team we worked on the prop styling for this story about artful beauty products. The experience is always extremely collaborative and results in gorgeous photos!
